THE MISHA KNEE SYSTEM

The MISHA Knee System is an implantable shock absorber that is designed to relieve pain and improve function in patients with medial knee osteoarthritis. The MISHA Knee System works like a car shock absorber, reducing the peak forces on painful knee joints during activities such as walking, running, or simply standing. The device is placed under the skin, but outside the joint, during an outpatient procedure. 

How Does it Work? 

Overloading the knee joint can lead to the initiation or progression of osteoarthritis.(2) Unloading the joint can lead to a reduction in pain and symptoms. When you are walking or simply standing, the shock absorber of the MISHA Knee System will compress and reduce peak forces on the knee by over 30%.(3)
